Food Allergy Awareness Assembly
Kyle Dine & Friends
Food Allergy Awareness Assembly
Food allergies are a growing public concern and a condition that affects many of our students. “Kyle Dine & Friends” is a lively musical presentation that will help educate all of our students about allergies & anaphylaxis,
On Monday, May 13th, Kyle Dine, a food allergy educator and musician will come to our school to help our students understand what severe food allergies are and what they can do to help classmates with food allergies stay safe. He performs fun and interactive songs about food allergies and will be joined by his zany puppets.
He covers a range of helpful information from the most common food allergens, symptoms of a reaction, what adrenaline is (e.g. EpiPen) is and what to do in an emergency. He also reminds us how important hand washing is and that we should never share food at school.
We appreciate Kyle Dine coming to our school to help us learn more about food allergies and how we can all help maintain an allergy safe school.
If you would like to learn more about food allergies, please visit www.foodallergycanada.ca or www.foodallergy.org.

Grandparent’s Day & Art Show
WHEN: 9—10:15 AM
WHERE: 866 East Broadway or 100 N Street for KO and Toddler Families
MASS: 10:30 AM at St. Brigid Church in honor of our grandparents.
We will welcome grandparents for a campus visit anytime between 9—10:15 AM.
This is an opportunity for students to welcome their special guests and to showcase their school work. In addition, our art teacher Ms. Valerie Szmurlo is creating a gallery of student art for our guests to enjoy. Please enter the main campus at 866 East Broadway via the front entrance. For visitors to our K0 and Toddler school across the street (at 100 N Street), please enter through the church parking lot entrance. An elevator is available at this entrance.
We will have student ambassadors on hand to escort grandparents. It is very helpful if the guest knows the name of the grandchild's teacher. As not every child has a grandparent visitor, we will welcome a special friend or parent instead. Please let your child's teacher know who to expect.
Most importantly, the visit will conclude with a school Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Brigid Church in honor of our grandparents. We encourage all grandparents and special visitors to join us.
For grandparents unable to attend Mass, the celebration of the Mass can be viewed at:
